AHAH.
yesterday, worked at Obolo and a customer came in. he talked in chinese but he was really friendly. we chatted a while until we came to the subject of Mas Selamat.
Customer: Mas Selamat is in Malaysia.
Me: oh, they found him already?
C: no. but we know he is in Malaysia cus when you go to Malaysia, they will say "Selamat Datang", they are welcoming Selamat.
M:AHAHAHAHA.
omg, he is so funny i swear. before he came in, i could see through the glass door that he was loading some kind of machine into his van. come to think of it, it looked like a high-tech sanitary pad bin, but ANYWAY, when he came into the shop, i thought he came to deliver stuff (hmm, maybe a sanitary pad bin?) haha, at first he bought some cakes and while i was packing the food, he asked "you not studying ah" (everything he said was in chinese btw) and i said that i just finished Os. then he started talking about teenagers and how old people like him don't understand them. he has a daughter and he wonders why she's always going out, chatting on msn and why her phone bills are so high. then i was like, we do these cus it COOL what. hahaha, then he said, so having so many piercings also cool ah, go steal things also cool, later then become like Mas Selamat. and so that was how he came to tell me that super lame and funny joke. haha, he's so funny! when he was leaving, he was like, funny right! must tell all your friends hah! HAHAHA.
i love working at Obolo.
sighzzz, i have work at Old Town Cafe tomorrow in the afternoon, then work at Obolo from evening to night. why do i torture myself as such??? it's not as if i need the money, they are shorthanded and i just decided to help them out (jo seems like she's really suffering there) what's worse is that jo is not working tomorrowww. i usually start work at Old Town at 11 but jo starts at 12, but from 11-12, i'd feel totally dead and suddenly when jo comes at 12, work is suddenly really fun! i don't know what i'd do if jo doesn't work there, working at Old town is really difficult, it's not as if the staff are unfriendly (though Obolo staff are so much more fun to work with),
most of the time they are rather nice. but it's more of the customers and the embience at Old town which really sucks. it's so uncouth and hawker center like, and all the taitais and office men go there and they demand so much of you. and all the time they are calling on you, bring me chilli, bring me water, why the food take so long to come. and the place is really unhygienic too.
but at Obolo, it's so sophisticated and people are nice all the time. they go there and take their time, create conversation and enjoy.
ohohoh, something else that's funny happened at obolo yesterday, i went to work in my new EDC pants and i really like them, so i felt really cool. and happy. and stuff. until my boss told me that the price tag was still sticking out at the back! OMG, and you know how EDC price tags are BRIGHT RED and HUGE. now everyone will know that i got my pants for 50% off!
haha, since i'm in the mood to tell jokes, here's something funny which happened after ballet one day.
my mum came to pick me up and papaya was sitting in the front seat. my gosh i tell you, he gets so fat headed whenever he sits in front, he'll go, "HAHA, i'm sitting in front and you have to sit behind" or, if i say something random to my mum, he'll go "you dunno anything la" and he'll say other things which shows that he thinks he's much greater than you and you just wanna stuff his neck into an isqueeze. and all my mum does is go "stop it/keep quiet/raphyyyy". ch'yeah, as if that helps.
so that day, i got so fed up and went "MUUUUM, he's being such a B.I.T.C.H." and i expected her to scold me or say "MAX. STOP IT." but omg, guess what she said. she said,
"that term is for girls"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
